well back on that problem i had earlyer in antother post. this morning on the way to school my car was running bad again....it was backfireing and popping really bad. i thought it needed to be warmed up. after school i drove home and its horrible again i could only go like 20-30 mph. i dont know what it is i checked all the wires pulled em out and put them back in. wtf? yesterday it was running fine all i did was park it in the garage over night. my idle is horrible it bounces to about 700 and then is choppy all the way up it ate up ALOT of gas for only a 6 mile trip to school and back

hey put a set of plugs in it and check timing, and the new one is really nice no rust, never been wrecked, bone stock, but it needs paint wich is no big deal. and its very stright.

no no no, you have to take a 1/2 inch wrench and loosen it so you can turn it, dont need to be to much, on the harmonic dampner is where it says how much the timin is in advance or retarted, but you need a timing light.

so its by the balancer? im kind of confused on where the timing chain is or whatever...is it a possibility that its my fuel pump? i have a bad feeling it is. i dont know any reason it would just start doing that out of no where....im at work right now so ill have to wait until tonight to find the timing...

do you have a nabor that has a timing light if so ask him for a hand in checking?setting the timing, it could be the fuel pump but, by what your saying i think it justs needs a tune up.
