So I installed a new starter over the summer, and ever since I installed it, it keeps running for about a second after i let off the car when the car starts.

I meant to look after the problem, but i just hadn't got around to it yet.

Now it just likes to click. It sounds like a dead battery, but its not. The solenoid is new and working just fine. When the starter does engage, it turns the motor over just fine, and it cranks right up.

Its just getting it to engage where the problem is..what kind of things should i start looking for?

the next time it does that, wiggle your ground wire"more toward's the starter" and start the car.

Did you buy the starter from Auto Zone?
