96 explorer engine????

Default 96 explorer engine????
I had heard that a 96 explorer v8 engine was a cobra engine. I was told that they made to many engines and not enough cars so they put them in the explorers.

What year Cobra engine? Because up to '97('98), V8 Explorer had the 5.0 pushrod, not a 4.6 Modular. I think the motor is rated at like 245 Horsepower, but I'm not sure what the '93-'95 Cobras were rated at...
