one thing after another

RE: one thing after another
Well here's what I went through. my car ran graet, the fuel pump worked fine when the car was running but it would loose fuel pressure immidiately when the key was turned off. If before starting the car, i turned the key on and off multiple times to build the fuel pressure back up (u can hear the pump change pitch) and then started it it would start right up, if i just turned the key to start it the car would crank a hell of a long time before finally starting, sometimes it would barely stumble to life. I figured I didn't have a leaky injector and i replaced the fuel pressure regulator so the fuel pump was the only other thing i could think of, I assume the fuel pump has a valve built into it that was stuck open or something on mine, I really dont know. But now when I shut the car off it holds fuel pressure for quite a while.

Flood mode start is the way most FI systems deal with a engine flooded condition, if you hold the gas pedal all the way down, the system shuts off injectors pulse to prevent more flooding.

Do suggest to confirm the code 111, the "no codes" or not able to retrieve codes from the system, is a problem that will cause a no start as well, you may want ot check its description at www.fordfuelinjection.com ยป No Codes?
