Default PINION SPLINE QUESTION

HEY ALL. I just got a set of ford racing 3.73 gears. Part number M4209 F373N. I just checked them out and the pinion spline count is 30. Is this ok. They didn't give an option for spline count so im assuming this will go right in. The only reason im asking is because i saw a thread about 31 spline and 28 spline and im a bit confused nowPLEASE HELP thanks to all.

The 31 and 28 spline count is for the axle shafts. Stock is 28 aftermarket is 31 which are stronger. Gears should work.

The splines for the axles are not on the pinion, they are off the ring gear and traction lock assembly. If you trying to make sure you got the right ratio then take the number of teeth on thepinion gear and divide it into the number of teeth on thering and thats your gear ratio.
