ORIGINAL: cccharleston

It would release the 2 step when either switch in not held. Using the double pole, one presses the monentary switch with the clutch in to activate the 2 step. Then one can release the clutch and the2 step releases. I will not activate again until both the clutch and momentary switch are on together.

Same thing, your way is just more complicated.

Try the other way. It will only work if both switchs are let go at the same time. You are not thinking it through.

Hmmm...I don't think so, the circuit would be broke as soon as you lifted the clutch. Unless you have to break the circuit to engage it, then you are right.

I want to thank everyone for chiming in here. 8banger thanks for reply as well. I know exactly what Adder and cccharleston are saying here. I'm an HVAC technician and am engaged heavily in electrical circuits every day. Just as stated, the reason you either need 2 switches or a relay, is so that once you dump the clutch at the line, the launch rpm setting does not reactivate each timeyou mash the clutch to shift. You can wire it either way, just whatever works for you.

The one question that has not been answered here, is anyone using this set-up with a stock dizzy?
