LOL thats static!
LOL thats static??????? wrong, when having a live wire that touches metal(this is called grounding) it tends to short that wire out, causing a steady current to go through all the metal parts o your car, thus relating to my post, when touching a metal object on ur car, do you get shocked, cause I do! meaning that I have a short connection somewhere in my electrical sysyem.

No, that does not mean that you have a short. It means that it is cold outside and for some reason, cold weather allows for more static electricity. I get shocked every single day I get out of my truck, but only when it's cold out and I am wearing my jacket which has fleece lining.

Electricity is going to take the path of least resistance, it's not going to go through you're carbon based high resistance body before going through the metal shell of the car.

Most likely you have cloth seats, and you're probably wearing a wool or cotton jacket, and the rubbing that occurs when you're getting into your car and getting out of your car will cause static electricity to build up within your body. When you step out of your car and step on the floor, touching the metal parts of your car will cause that static to find ground. It happens more when it's cold, I think mainly because that's when you're more likely to wear a jacket.
