Unclogging-Clogged Heater Tubes
Okay, so my heater tubes(the metal ones that go to the heater hoses, one goes in the intake manifold) Are clogged. idk if they are metal on all 5.0's but I have an edelbrock setup. So I'm wondering, if anyone has any ideas on how to unclog them, I have very little space to work b/c one threads into the intake manifold, and the open end is on the back of the motor......I've heard maybe an old speedo cable on a drill? This stuff was pretty solid when I took the hose off and stuck a screwdriver in it, not packed real tight, but it was there.....so i doubt a flush solvent will get it, any ideas?
oh yeah, and i can only physically bypass one, b/c of the other being a threaded fitting in the lower intake, and the only way to remove it looks like taking the low off and unscrewing the hole pipe in one giant turning motion

RE: Unclogging-Clogged Heater Tubes
I think I'd try back flushing it with pressurized water before I'd get real nutty with power drills and such. Maybe make a quick fitting to attach a garden hose to it and let it run for awhile?
