Default biggest tire on 9" rims

I want to go 315 is that possible or do i have to run 275?

the problem is not a matter of clearance... a 315 just does NOT fit on a 9" wide rim.

besides... that wide of a tire isnt going to help your traction any

you could get a wider rim so you could fit the 315 if thats all you want. but like adder said it may not give you more traction compared to a smaller tire. that and its gonna stick out past the fender just a little bit.

+1....I've mounted some 315's on the back of a Dakota at work. He came back 3 days later because the rim was walking inside the tire and scared him.

I've done it, not safe, go 275 or 295 if you can find them (why is adder always right???)

Even that is pushing it. I'd go 265 on a 9", and 295 on a 10".
