stock block..
is it a good idea to get a turbo on a stock block? i want toget a power adder but not sure if i should go the blower or turbo route. I hear the stock blocks are good to right around 500rwhp.my goal is to get to about the 450 mark, sitting alittle under 330 right now.

RE: stock block..
If you add a turbo you are probably gonna be in the danger zone. It may last a week, or years. Alot of people say it is in the tune. But the general consensus is ~500 hp, which you will achieve fairly easy with any decent amount of boost

RE: stock block..
you can run a turbo, at low... low boost... and hit that number w. ur set up... save for a real block and crank up the boost
btw on turbomustangs.com or w/e it is, there was a thread... i used to have the link... bone stock mustang, like stock tb and everything... bolted on the bg turbo kit, at 9psi and saw somewhere around 470rwhp

RE: stock block..
I ran a stock short block with ported H/C/I and my procharger at 17lbs to just over 600 hp. Ran it that way for 3 years, tons of beatings and never had a issue. It is is the tune and making sure to keep your RPM down under 6200. I would recommend the blower because they are generally easier to tune and not as sensitive as a turbo to weather changes.
