Default Finding a Clockspring

What a friggin headache! I went to the ford dealership yesterday to get a new ignition cylinder and asked about new clock spring, 200 bucks plus tax! No thanks. So I"ve been shopping around online and around the valley and I haven't found anywhere that carries them. Tried napa and lots of parts stores but no luck. 50resto doesn't have them either. Its really getting tough to find. Does anyone know of any other options, or where to buy online?

Since you're in Phoenix, I think your last shot here is to call All Mustang's recycling centerdown in Tempe. You can get the number off their website. Even then if they have a car laying around that you can get one from,I wouldn't pay a lot for itbecause sometimes it is very difficult to reuse them.

I used to work in the collision industry and sometimes we would get cars where we had to replace steering wheels due to recovered theft damage, or damage to the leather on them from glass flying all over the place from break ins, and even with the air bag not going off to get a new wheel in there and have everything work properly we had to replace the clockspring. Like many other air bag components it is sometimes "one time use only."

I don't believe there is such a thing as a/m air bags parts so you are limited there as well. Try All Mustang, and let me know if that works. The only other thingI can do is some follow up for you. I had a shop that I used to deal with that sublet a lot of air bag work to this special air bag only shop. I don't have their info off hand,I would have to call a few people in the valleyto get it.

Good Luck...
