Default thermostat tidbit

i bet nobody else has had this problem or i would have read about it already. but i thought i would post what happened to me and it's solution anyway. when i was replacing my thermostat no matter what i did it would fall down between the water neck and intake enough that it would not seal. i went to ford and bought a ford thermostat and it comes with a small tab on it that locks it into the water neck so it will not move when installing it. you put the thermostat into water neck and turn it till it locks. i would have never noticed it if my dad hadnt told me that the ford thermostats were different than the ones you buy at autozone or advance auto. hope this someone else, if not that's cool too.
