real quick question 3g alt install
i kind of searched and read the tech page for the 3g swap but i have a question thats not really clear.
the "D" shaped connector they said is stock....stock off the sn94-95 mustang rignt? then i cut off the rectangular stock plug off my car and ditch that right?
and the small spade or stator plug...can i cut the one off the car that it came with and use it? or will a hardware store have this spade connector? from the pic i cant really tell what im looking at.
and last question, hooking up the 4 gauge wire from the alt to the battery or starter solenoid...which is better? in the tech article he used the battery since they wasnt alot of room on his solenoid.
thanks for the help

RE: real quick question 3g alt install
you dont have to cut anything............
I dont recomment cutting your wiring up if you dont have to
(If you have the "D" harness as shown above)
all you need it 12v switched, and large guate output going to starter soloniod or better yet directly to the battery

"3G Alternator Harness $20.00 New OEM Connectors
Weatherpack connector for vehicle harness connection.
Simple installation only 1 wire! "
http://rjminjectiontech.com/?p=7 for their wiring products
http://rjminjectiontech.com/?p=6 for their alternators
best price for what you get that Ive found.
----------regarding the picture below-----------
1)fat wire on left goes to battery or s.solonoid
2)this is your 1 wire hookup, connect to 12v ignition switched.
"You only need to connect the wire" (in that black tubing its the only one of the 3 that doesnt go right back to the alternator) "on the harness to a wire that is HOT with the key in RUN. Ford has used a Green/Red wire on their vehicles for over 50 years. So it’s simple to find that wire that went to the old alternator and use it now."
