after 1hr in bumper to bumper traffic my mustang 5.0 118,000 started making a rattle clicking sound coming from where the clutch is , sound is there on idle and under acceleration clicks louder and faster. is this the clutch going bad. weird thing is that the pedal is the same, gears go in great and there's no clutch slippage , just the damn sound. what shoud I replace?

With the clicking noise you describe i would normally suggest it is the throw out bearing. But your saying it is in the cab?

when it was on the lift the noise was coming from where the bellhousings at
