Default i want a cold air intake, any suggestions?

i want a cold air intake but i dont want to spend $130 for a metal tube and a filter. any suggestions?

Check on ebay. I found a kit there for $45. Same as the name brand ones just w/o the name.

Or spend $90 on a fenderwall kit by Moroso. It doesn't replace the entire arm, but I don't really think youabsolutely need to...

make your own from some flexible aluminum ducting available at the hardware store.
why are you asking this question when the '87 already gets its air cold from outside the fenderwell anyway?????

Just go to the hardware or home improvement store and get some PVC pipe with elbows and a couple of those rubber connectors(not sure what they're called, I'm not a plumber), cut that stuff to the desired length, make connections, and viola.

My 5.0 is in a Lincoln Mark VII, and I will eventually do the same thing.

My Mustang is carbureted, and this is what it uses...
