Default harness vs. 4 wire for mass air conversion

Am I better off going with a complete wiring harness out of an 89 GT 5spd or doing the 4 wire pigtail to complete the mass air conversion on my 88GT? and why?

I prefer going with factory harness whenever possible, it takes guess work out of the equation.

good luck on finding an 89 harness for a decent price, I ended splicing into my old one, and it worked great
