hey everyone <IMG src=smileys/smiley14.gif border="0">i just bought a rebuilt vortech s-trim bla bla bla with a 10 pound pulley, but the blower can hold up to 14 no problem, i have stock bottom end but GT40 ported heads, eldebrock port matched upper and lower, little cam, pretty much everything u can get for an all motor car...how much horse power do u think i'll belookin at if i change to a b404 cam and the 1.7 rr's?i think im runnin about 315 or so right nowand i've heard im lookin at around 500 to the rear wheels (give or take 20 horses)...im alsogetting 30lb injectors...wuts the deal with the FMU s**t? some say i need it, some say i dont, some say just get bigger injectors like the 36 or 42's...thanx</P>

you'd be better off with a blower cam, something that gives you split duration, your gonna want as little duration as possible and still fill your cylinders at higher rpms with the blower, and also more duration on the exhaust side. You wont get that with a FMS cam, you should look elsewhere for that. Also 30 lb injectors is plenty, and you should get an aftermarket mass air sensor calibrated to those with an aftermarket tuned chip to keep your A/F mix where it needs to be... your gonna have to if you want your stock bottom end to last. With your mods @ 10lbs of boost expect to be in the neighborhood of 400hp or so at the wheels if everything is tuned right.

alright cool, ya we are getting a mass air meter i just remembered that. andi remember someone tellin me about those blower cams, supposedly they help a lot, thanx val <IMG src=smileys/smiley14.gif border="0"></P>

seriously tho, whered u get the video...haha thanx T5, i have heard from others that the anderson is the way to go, and if i had 30# injectors do i need an FMU to be safe? wut about if i buy some 36's im lookin at? im pretty sure i wouldnt need one then right?

o ya...has anyone heard an S-Trim on a 5.0? how loud are they, i dont REALLY care...if they arent that loud then great it wont give it away...but if its not quiet, it better be LOUD haha
