Roller Lifters
Double roller timing chain

cobra or edelbrock performer rpm and ditch the high volume oil pump!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i put one in my fox and threw a rod a month later. was told a high volume pump sucks the stock pan dry and locks up the oil pump. not good, trust me.

Upgrade your intake. The stock intake runs out of steam around 4800 to 5000 rpms.

a stock 5.0 would benefit greatly from a gt40/cobra/trickflow intake. I personally recommend finding a cheap used gt40 upper and lower, or a cobra, there pretty much the same thing.

If you like the performer rpm but are not a big fan of the price, you can go for a professional product intake. its basically the same manifold but made overseas...I believe you can get one for about 340$...however gasket matching wont be optional...heres an article
