Default bad news

ok im starting on pulling my rear today. i started with pulling the back seat though because im doing the lower boxes while its out ( the uppers were done already). so i found 2 cracks on the trans tunnel where it goes into the back seat. they are about 1-2' long and it looks like the car buckled in that part. then by the upper reinforcements i saw another big crack on the passenger side.

Do you have subframe connectors or roll bar? If you don't fix the problem than welding it up will not help for long.

How much power are you making? What are your 60' times? What kind of frame connectors do you have? The shop I work at we custom make them through the floor. If you are making some serious power and have a lot of traction you may want to look into Wild Rides Stang Box and some better frame connectors.

yea well that fine you feel that way dave. that will still hold together for the time being. i already know i need a new body i was searching for one before but couldnt come up with anything decent for the money i wanted to pay. im making use with what i got. the car cant be putting down more then 200-220 at the wheels i guess. not really sure, i bought the car and everything was already done to it. i believe its a stock 95 bottom end (no idea). its got some stock heads i believe (they are cast and i think the one # i saw under the valve cover was a c4 # i forget for sure.) it has southsides on it i think it 4cyl springs all around (orig. 4cyl car) i myself never ran it at the track but before all my problems started this car hooked kinda hard. but i gotta go back to work on this thing one bolt is kickin my *** ( after that the rear is out n time to get it all prepped for the new rear. until i rebuild that auburn) im taking the southsides off cuz there junk, its going back to stock control arms for now, and im bolting in the lower boxes.
