Electric Water Pump on a real DD
i was looking at alternators to upgrade to, im gonna be running an electric fan, and i was thinking about a electric water pump as well to really get some some stuff off the belt drive free up much more hp
but reliability wise a electric pump on a real DD, i am a student i drive this thing EVERYWHERE, around the block to school to work, rain snow flooding raining men i drive this thing. would the electric pump be okay on a real DD? if so what amp alternator would be fine to run with both E fan and E wpump??

RE: Electric Water Pump on a real DD
all right this is up my alley...mine isn't a D/D but it could be if I didn't have a 30 mile drive each day and gas would kill me but it is fully capable of such........ I would reccommend the Meziere elec water pump as it has a built in idler pulley..yeah it's expensive but you want the good stuff you gotta pay to play...and the benifit of running the pump while the car is off at the track for cool down purposes is great.......and if flows excellent so no reduced flow in stop and go traffic.......I have so much stuff in my 85 running off electric I upgraded to a powermaster 100 amp one wire alt/self exciting...I have never had a problem with this set up and it's totally streetable and never overheated..here's a pic if you look close you may see the elec pump
