i did search, help with idle issues
im having some idle issues again, i thought i fixed it but im wrong. i did a search but didnt find the answer im looking for.
cold start it will not idle, i can start it, it'll go to 1500 rpms like normal and works its way down then choke out. but if i hold the gas at 1500 rpms for about a minute or so then it will hold its own idle.
how can i tell for sure whats wrong without just replacing parts? im thinkin IAC or MAP sensor(although i dont really know what this does for the idle but it was suggested during my search.)

have you run a koeo/koer test first to make sure the computer doesn't see any problems??

the iac is the valve on the front of the throttle body, it is what controls your idle. What are your mods, I know when I first started modding my car it was like that untill the computer learned how to keep it running.

Check for vacuum leaks, either use carb cleaner spray or take it to a shop that has a smoke machine to find any vacuum leaks, if none are found it could still need time to learn how to idle and run as mentioned before.

i set base idle and tps voltage is .98. i sprayed for vac leaks, none to be found and there is no signs of vac leaks anyways. maf is new and i cleaned the sensor, the IAC i cleaned also so well its almost shiney inside. once it does idle it holds strong at 850-900rpms
