Default trw L2490 in a 302

I have some TRW L2490 Pistons for my 5.0.. i saw on another website where this guy used 289 rods with themfor his car also. i was wondering if anyone knows about using these pistons with my application. I know they are Chevy 350 Forged NHRA Pistons, and i would have to bore the pin ends of my rods to fit the piston pins in these chevy pistons, unless anyone else knows about some other rods that fit them and also my ford crank? just any help would be greatly appreciated. i am looking at pulling the motor our and rebuilding it sometime here in the near future. also.. what is the difference in the 289 rods to the 302 rods? are the 302's 1.5 and the 289's are 1.7? idk. help. lol

its the stroke that makes the difference between the 289/302 a 302 is just a stroked 289 also something to remember is that all 289 engines are balanced for 28oz balancers while 1981+ 302 are 50oz balanced when u start in on mixing and matching

that being said boss 302 i beileve used a 302 crank with 289 pistons and the special boss pistons they were 302 still but the pistons were completely different from a 302 what are you trying to accomplish saving 100$ or something

289 rods are slightly longer with a 5.155 length to the 302's 5.090 the 1.6 vs the 1.7 is the rod/stroke ratio you refer to not rod length
