electric fan retrofit

electric fan retrofit
I've already tried the search function to no avail. I purchased a Hayden 16" heavy duty electric fan today from a local vendor, and also the fan control kit. The fan looks like it will fit inside the factory fan shroud which I want to retain. The fan is rated @ 1500 cfm. I'm wondering at this point if this is enough air volume. The car still has a functioning A/C system, and removal is not an option (too hot in South Carolina). I've seen other fans rated at 2000 & more cfm. What's everyones experience with this? I cannot find any cfm ratings for the stock mechanical fan. I do plan on incorporating this with an alternator upgrade as well. If 1500 is not enough, I can always take it back, and order something else.

i used a black magic with 2600 cfm and 3 core rad and car over heated with a/c on. 1500 is nowhere near enough.
