Default Wheel hop after susp mods ? ?

Guys, I am experiencing wheel hop on my 93 notchback 5spd 60k miles. I started out with no wheel hop stock. I have Kenny Brown subframes installed. When I put the Ford motorsport springs on all four corners no wheel hop. Then put on summit upper and lower control arms in combo with lakewood 50/50 drag shocks. After the fresh install I got a lot of wheel hop in this car for the first time. Being that the shocks were fresh and new I thought to give them some miles and break-in. The wheel hop did die off a little, so I tossed on the stock quad shocks and that helped a little more but the wheel hop is still there. Inoticed that the wheel hop is huge in colder temp if that is any help.

What do you think? I thought that all that susp modding would improve performance... but for me I am getting the one symptom that should by theory be non-existant. Thanks for your input.

what kind of shocks are you running on the front?. if the front is not able to lift enough with the 50/50s on the rear you will experince some wheel hop. and the 50/50s are not really made for street use. put some 90/10s on the front and see what that does for ya. lower your rear tire pressure a couple lbs also.

90/10's are great for the straights and all but it makes the front pretty floaty. so at least keep that in mind if you do wanna look into switching

I have stock front struts. Also I did tighten the control arms with the weight of the car down. I have Firestone 50sz tires 245/50/16 which really are a hard tire. How about the struts in 70/30 ratio?

Are you sure about that???? hmmmmcause I have 50/50 on the rear and 90/10 on the front lakewoods to be exact and was worried about the in theroy statement you mentioned........but to my suprise I really didn't even notice a difference on the street when I did the swap from stock....anyway if you have wheel hop.. it can be caused by improper driveshaft to pinion angle and improper adjustment of the control arms....your's by the way aren't adjustable are they????? are the good quality ones????

the non-adjustable Summit brand uppers and lowers.

I have a feeling that the upper bushings on the rear axle ... where the upper c-arms mounts to are worn and will need to be replaced. That's probably the weak link here. If I go to do that I will upgrade the uppers to adjustable.
