hard starts/stalls
lately my cars been running strangly.
its been really cold lately and now when the motors cold the car cranks for between 3-5 seconds before it starts.
and sometimes after that it'll stall within a few seconds, but it will start right up after that.
it also backfires every now and then when the motor is still cold.
could it be maybe dirty injectors or maybe even a bad battery that would cause the long cranks?
if its engine related i wont care because im changing almost everything soon.
thanks guys.

RE: hard starts/stalls
try cleaning the maf and the iac motor ...also I'd check fuel pressure to make sure you don't have a bad check valve in the pump not allowing it to build pressure in the system on initial cold start up......turn the key on and off 3-4 times before starting cold and see if that helps to rule that condition out
