Limited Edition 5.0?!?

Limited Edition 5.0?!?
Another question.
From my earlier post you might have already guessed that I am a newbie. More on that in other post.
I bought my mustang at the end of last year from a dealer. According to carfax it had two owners before me.
My question is that I have a gold emblem on the rear of my mustang that reads "Limited Edition". Is this just an emblem that was slapped on? If so then why did I see another Mustang just like mine that had the exact same emblem. I can understand mine being fake and being the only one but now I am curious because I saw another.
I have a 1993 White Mustang 5.0 GT Convertible. It has black leather interior but I don't think it is original. The doors I know have been painted. They where originally white. The seats are also re-upholstered but I can't tell what color they were. The top is not the original and is black. It has silver pony rims. It is also a 5 speed.
There is a possibility that it was a once triple white car. But I have no records.
Is there such thing as a "Limited Edition" mustang? If you don't know...who might?

RE: Limited Edition 5.0?!?
it could be but im not shure, is the drivers door the orignal door? if so the vin on the door tag should be the sams as under the windshield, also on the door tag it will tell you what color is was, what year, what spring rates, what trim you have, interior color, all of that, you could send me your vin and i can tell you if it is the right year, and if it was an automatic or a 5 spd. also if you get a pic of the door tag i can decoad that to.
sounds like a really nice car thoe.

RE: Limited Edition 5.0?!?
Ford offered a Limited Edition models in 1992 and 1993. Two were offered in 1993: bright yellow and white LX convertibles. Each had white tops and white interiors. Only 1503 were made in yellow, and only 1500 were made in white.
Mustang celebrated its 25th Anniversary with a limited edition of 2,000 special edition cars. Although the anniversary year was technically 1989 1/2, the limited edition was a 1990 model. They all came in Emerald Green, and were called 7-Up cars because Ford made a green and white convertible for a 7-Up ad, but the contract fell through
