Default Flowmaster super40 question

I just installed bbk shorties, o/r x pipe, and flowmaster 2 1/2 super40's and it seems like my car isn't as loud as it should be. Do the flows require a little "break in" to get louder??? I would try and post a clip but my digicam's microphone is complete garbage, takes good pics, not good sound, but i'll try a different one this afternoon.

h pipe would drop the decibel level more and make it seem or feel louder. flow have baffles in mufflers that will eventually burn or rust out and will be loud as funk. other than that...the combo you have isnt very loud, i have the same thing. if you want loud, get some slp muffs and prepare for a spine tingling action

yea spine tingling wouldn't exactly be neighborhood friendly at 2am coming home from a late night out, i just thought it would have a little more umph to it, oh well, wait till it rusts inside i guess.

Your setup should be pretty loud when you get on it. Flows aren't the loudest mufflers but they are not quiet either. Mine did seem to get louder after i used them for a while, I was told they had a "break in" but i'm honestly not sure.

My old setup: FRPP shorties, mac o/r prochamber, 40 series delta flows

Plenty more there if you wanna listen.

^^^ Yea thats what i'm going to do on my lunch break today, theres a guy at my work with a 89gt that hasn't ran in 4 years and he is itching to get back in the saddle, he may want to buy my motor so i can get a new block, punched 30 over and put a little bit more crank in it.

I think your car sounds sweet. I bet you will think differently when someone else drives it.

Onyx - You said that was your old setup. Im curious what your new setup is..
