Hey all i am going to be ordering a new mass air meter tonight and need to know if the Pro-M mass air meter is legal or not... Thanks in advance....

Ohh if you can tell me were the carb E.O number is on the net or where it says that it is legal in California... Thanks....

Ohhh and if not can you let me know what mass air you would buy and let me in on some vendors that sell some good 50state street legal MAFs...

its should be perfectly legal. i thoguth that stang in ur sig is ur only car?

No i just bought a 1988 mustang GT... But are you sure that its legal because i have to pass smog and the stocker MAF is bad.. The reason i believe that its bad is because my car throughs a check engine light when given throttle and at high rpms, such as 5300rpms, i get black smoke...

you might use a code scanner to be certain what is wrong before you go buying a $200-$300 MAF, my pro M doesnt have an E.O. on the unit itself. I got it used so I never seen the origonal packaging

Well i ordered the Pro-M 75mm MAF so its a done deal, but thanks for the opinions... What else do you think could cause the problem??? I think its the MAF or 02 sensors, thats the only thing i could come up with...

Wished I had seen this earlier, what injectors you running? I have a PRO-M 75 MM Bullet and 24# injectors I just took off I could sell.

Hey thanks for the thought though... I wish i would have known but i need the MAF here as soon as possible so it was a hasty decision... I have to get the thing smoged ASAP so that i can get it registered without problems... You know what i mean???

angcobra, what do you want for the pro-m 75mm maf? is that calibrated for 24lb injectors?

It is calibrated for 24# injectors. I want to sell the meter and injectors together. The meter is PRO-M 75MM Chrome Bullit, the injectors are 24# Cobra injectors. $225 plus delivery.
