ok i had an arguement with a friend tonight about the gears that i will be installing soon, i am getting 410s and he says that at the track i am going to run out of gear because i have a 5speed and will have to go into 5th gear which is overdrive. if you have any knowledge or experience with 410s then please help solve this lol

i dont think you will run out of gear, you might even use half of 4th gear.

i have 3.73s and i can hit decent speed in 4th, you should be ok. if not, get taller tires and youll be fine!!

I have 4.10's and I shift early like 5k RPM.. I hit 4500 RPM in 4th gear.. You'll be fine unless you're supercharged with 26" tires.. My tires are 26.6" or something like that, and I am fine, it will be less RPM when I get my slicks

currently i only have a o/r h-pipe and a cai but i will also have a 73mm maf meter and a 65mm tb on there when i have the gears

Yeah, with my mods (listed in my sign) I don't have a problem, and I shift at 5k - 5200 RPM, I hit the traps at about 4500 RPM in 4th and that is 92 MPH.. I am getting a new MAF next week and a TB sometime after that, I will run again..

My best time so far is a 14.917 @ 91.659 on street tires and a 2.137 60 ft.. Since my last run I have done Trick Flow intake, Crane 1.7 Roller rockers, and will be getting a 76MM MAF and a 70MM TB.. Should be easily mid to low 14's.. Let us know how you do..

If you assume the same 95 miles per hour and 26 1/2 inch tires as the other post, you will be turning 5000 RPM at the end.

gonna take alot more power than you have now to run out 4th

That's what i was trying to say, he would have to have a supercharger or some kind of forced induction. 4.10's are king!

i have 4:10's and u will be fine ur not gonna run outta of gear on less ur runnin in the high 11's, but if ur in the 12's or 13' ur fine
