Default Check engine light!!!

Hey all i have a problem with the check engine light comeing on when i give it throttle... If i get on it hard then the light comes on and stays on.... When i take it above 5000 rpms i get black smoke.... I believe that my MAF is going bad so i am getting improper fuel mixture... I also am lead to believe that it may be an/both 02 sensor(s)....Ohhh and also it doesnt throw the light when the car is cold ( first started) then when it warms up it will throw it when given gas.... So what do you guys think it could be.... Are my asumptions accurate or could it be something else.... I just ordered a Pro-M MAF about 20min ago so if it is that then i have already ordered the fix.... So can someone help lead me in the proper direciton.... Thanks for all your help in advance...

P.S. I have to smog the car within 10 days because it is required after a change in ownership... I would rather not take it to a diagnostic if it can be avoided... Thanks again..

it sounds like the O2 sensors to me and when you change them came sure u reset the computer, but wait until you get your new MAF.

I am hoping its one of the 2 (MAF,02s) because i am limited on cash at the moment and need it smogged... Hopefully one of the 2 will do it...

Im limited on cash because i stilll need the new clutch before the one that is in it burns up on me... Its the stock 88' clutch so it needs to be changed bad!!!

No i haven't... But what else could it be??? I am just looking for the best educated guess from experience.... The problem that i am haveing leads me to believe that its the 02s or the MAF... like i said i am just seeking opinions from people who know of, or have had the same problem that i am haveing... thanks again...
