Alright fixed it. I just hooked the wires directly to other wires instead of going to the fuse box and made sure the ground was good. Thanks for all the help.

i had that problem at first also.. but i find it annoying at night to have the tach light on. so i have that disconnected. the only time i really use my tach is at the track or racing so it doesnt bother me to not have it at night

Iwas able to find a wire that makes the tach come on only when the dash lights are on, so during the day the light will be off.
