Default pcv screen

I was able to get my pcv valve and grommet out easily, but can't get the screen off. I've seen previous posts saying to use needle nose pliers, but they are not working either. I can't really see the screen, but can feel it when i put my finger down there. Any ideas on how to pull this thing out?

I took a screwdriver and jammed it in the screen and pryed it out.

Installed a new one and some breather material to reduce oil inside the intake.

thanks. my plan is to replace the screen, so destroying the old one isn't going to be an issue. I just don't want any pieces to fall into the intake if I'm jamming a screw driver in there.

So what's the deal with the breather material? I'd like to add that in there so that there isn't as much oil build up. can you please explain what you did? Thanks.

try one of those retractable magnets if u can get it in that space. I just used my fingernail and caught one of the three tabs that holds the screen in thelittle round frame..
