I beat a camaro with a stock LS1 from a roll, the only thing i have is the gt-40 intake (port and polished), gears, 24lb injectors, exhaust, 1.7 rr's and a CAI so i think what hes doin should be more then enough to beat a stock LS1 without spray

Your setup seems pretty mismatched.

would there be any problem with just throwing the steeda #19 cam in the motor now as is when i get it and then putting the heads on when i have the money to get them in a few months
you'll need to install the proper valvetrain components like springs , retainers and locks also

but i heard the steeda 19 is the best for 94-95 5.0s
it is for good idle quality and mild builds but the more aggressive in the build you go the #19 will not be as effective now if you were to supercharge a mild build the steeda 19 will be fine....a pevious member on here did just that and had 420+ hp at the wheels
yes 420 to the wheels with 12lbs of boose and nitrous and meth i think

the afr 185's don't really reach their full flow potential till over 550 lift and the steeda cam is around 480 I believe?? so you'll never take full advantage of the afr 185's...the 165's would be better suited for that combo but a 347 would take better to the 185's and the gt-40 tubular was a good intake back in the day but amongst intakes it is on the bottom as far as max potential in it's stock unported form.....a rpm II or holley systemax and or a trick flow of some sort would be better for your build but if I were you and your going 347 in the near future I WOULD SAVE YOUR MONEY FOR THAT AND NOT WASTE IT ON THE 302 build right now
