You should not need that cold a plug unless your running high compression.

I f your only running a 75 shot stock heat rang plugs should be fine......it's usually on shots above 100 like maybe a 125 and or 150 that you'd want to go 1 step colder on the plug and for every 50 hp increase above 100 you'd want to take a degree or two of timing out.....I believe a 25 is stock plug so a 23 is 2 steps colder and you'd have to be running close to a 200 shot to warrant 2 steps colder

I've run stock heat range plugs with a 100 shot no problem and if you wanted you could back timing off a degree or two butlike I said I ran a 100 shot no problem with no detonation but I did run race gas 24's or 25's is the numbering system autolite plugs use

gotcha...i'll go with the Autolite 24's then cause i'm not using race fueland i'll back it down 2 degrees....gap at .035?

on my 93 lightning i had tr6's (NGK; 1 step colder) gapped at .035, 75 shot (wet) and had my timing at 6 degrees initial (8 degrees is stock and i wanted to be real safe cause i had 262,000 miles!) i got a whole second off my time with a 75 shot!

I agree..it's better to be safe than sorry and with my new build I'm gonna be a little safer with the NOS and not as liberal....which in part contributed to my last faliure[&:]
