Default Different direction on bolt ons, 89 Hatch

I have an Explorer intake, and was planning on GT40 heads, TFS Stage1 cam, 2-1/2" off roadexhaust, 4.10 gears (it's an AOD, although I also have a C-4 in my shop), 2500 converter, 73mm MAF and 70mm TB. I kinda went a little off course, and just bought a set of Twisted Wedge heads (new in box), with FRPP 1.6 rockers (new unopened) and hardened pushrods (new). I paid $1200 shipped to my door from California (I'm in Florida), found them on the Corral and I think thats a decent price?. My question is this,is the Explorer intake adequate for the TFS heads?. Should I step up to the TFS Stage2 cam with the TFS heads?. This is a toy, not a daily driver.
Gimme your thoughts

Thats a great price for the heads, rockers, and pushrods. A trickflow intake will out-flow a GT40 any day, so if you've got the money go for that. There are many options for a camshaft but if its a toy you could take it further than a tfs1. Im sure more will chime in with cam details etc etc

Have the lower intake ported by tmoss, that will make it flow well enough to feed those heads.

Default RE: Comp Cams Tech Advice/Suggestion

I was leaning towards the TFS Stage1 cam, but last night I calledthe Comp Cams tech line, and they asked me for all my information. The cam they came up with is a FW XE270HR-14. Anyone running one of these?. The specs are below. This was based on a stock block 89 hatch,Twisted Wedgeheads, Explorer intake, 73mm MAF, 70mm TB, 24lb injectors, CIA, off road h pipe, shorties, AOD (I may throw my C-4 in it), 2500 stall, 4.10 gears. The Technician said this would pull from 1800 - 5800rpm, and have a pretty good rattle at idle. Take a look at the cam specks, and let me know your thoughts. I'm really having a tough time deciding what cam, and I need everyones opinions. This cam appears to be a step up from the TFS Stage 1, but less radicalthan the Stage 2

Part number 35-351-8
Grind number FW XE270HR-14
Operating range 1800 - 2800
Intake duration @ 050 218
Exhaust duration @ 050 224
AdvertisedIntduration 270
Advertised Exh duration 276
Intake valve lift stockrocker .512
Exhaust valve lift stock rocker .512
Lobe separation 114

if you want to spend another 100 and get almost the same cam go ahead, the intake lift is a little larger but the tfs has more intake and exhaust duration and you know it will work good since its made to work wit hthe tfs heads and a hundred cheaper. I would just get the tfs stage 1 and port out ya intake.

Sounds like pretty good advice to me. I'm all for saving money!
Thanks, for the input
