only that if your using stock bottom end the pistons need to be notched, if you look up at the beginning of the 5.0 page where all the threads and stickies and all that are, there should still be one up there about patriot heads and what they gained on a carbed 5.0 from texas hot rods.

ok well what cam are you using, a stock cam? im sure once you put anything even decent cam wise that you will need to notch em, if not then what cams could you run with those heads and still not notch?

notching pistons has more to do then with just the lift has to do with all the cam specs duration lift and overlap, there is no set amount of lift, i have a steeda with 1.7s which is 5.16 lift and mine do not need to be notched. The only way to know for sure is if someone has run the same cam and heads without notching or claying and seeing for sure.
