Right now I have a 88 gt and I am thinking about rebuilding. should I go ahead and re build or do a compleat engine swap for an all new cobra motor with intake and all.
which would give me better <FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3>performance?</FONT>

Every thing in the motor would be a good start. If you by a used motor you are going to be in the same boat your in now. And all you will have to show for the money you spent on the cobra motor is going to be a $250 intake, and some barely better than stock GT40p heads. Not worth it. Rebuild what you got and buy a better typhoon(exact same as edelbrock) intake from ebay for $279, by a summit rebuild kit for around $400. and you will have better performance than the used cobra motor that will have to be rebuilt shortly after you purchase it.
