How do I wake up my AOD?

How do I wake up my AOD?
I'm getting ready to drop in some 4:10's soon and just wanted to see what you guys do to wake up your AOD's some. Or is it even worth the $$$?I plan on doing a T-5 swap one day but for now I'm keeping the AOD. Don't want to put a ton of $$$ in the trans but wanted to see if a shift kit and/or stall converter would help.
I'm just looking for some input or what you have done. Give me some ideas or options...
Thanks

not worth the money 2 put in that trans if ur not going 2 do the works 2 it, like manual valve body and full race rebuild..... just save ur money for that t-5...i went race c4 for around 1000..just a manual valve body for the aods r bank....600-700 bank lol...so dont waste the money unless u realy want 2..but shift kit willl wake her up for around 100-150...but honestly would be alot btr just 2 waite for the t-5...patience man lol

yah..if your not gonna be doin the swap sooner than a year ..id put a shift kit in...not difficult..but the difference just from a stock aod-e to a t5 is great..just got done with mine before winter hit...so idk if your plannin the swap soon..save the moneyn maybe use it for a nice new clutch for your swap and just drive the aod for a while

one thing that you MIGHT be able to do cheaper then a t5 swap is to go with a manual valve body from like lentech, and a b&m hammer shifter. This would let you control your shift points from 1st, to 2nd, and YES you can hold 2nd to any rpm, then shift into OD which would be 3rd, and if you need overdrive its on an electric switch/button. Thats just my 2cents tho. I know b&m hammer shifters are really fun in aode cars, but in an aod car its really dumb to have, its more for looks then anything.
But in my opinion, its always better to sell the aod, and buy a t5 then it is to do the swap. Much cheaper, and much easier.

stall, shift kit, adjusted shift pints and it will be more consistent and just as good as a 5spd only downside is the fun factor if you like shifting.
Is the c4 a 4spd with od as as the 4th gear or is there no od?

AT MINIMUM>>>>>>>
4.10 gears and 3000 stall
any less on either and you will be dissapointed
shift kit too, and a cooler, heat kills aod's , stop doing the "shuffle" if you do do it
you will very surprised at the diff of a t5 or c4....i have owned 2 aod cars and 3 t5 cars....my fastest aod got smoked by my slowest t5
and that slow car was 100% bone stock, 2.73 gears and street tires w/ 130k miles on it
