Default problem with my heat

The heater in my car was not getting very hot, so I put in a higher thermostat and it still isnt getting very hot. Any certain thing that would cause this?

you may have a clogged heater core or your a/c blend door is not closing all the way allowing warm and cool air to mix...making it a luke warm mixture

you can remove your panel where the wheel is to adjust temp and make sure the cable operates freely and or is not binding by pulling on it manually.. and make sure it is connected on bot ends......as for the heater core, start the car and let it get to operating temp and feel the inlet and outlet temp..to accurately test it I usually use a infared ray gun that displays a temp digitally.. temps going in should be close to engine temp and outlet slightly cooler cause as air passes across the core heat is removed. transfered from the liquid through the core and to the air passing across the core
