Default Fmu = Temporary Solution?

Its getting close to that time, ill be doing my p600b install in less than a month. Now that its getting closer and closer, im realizing I dont quite have it in my budget right now to go with the injecters, New maf, and a complete tune. Would using the fmu with my 19s for now be a solution i could use for a few months till im ready to do the full tune?

on my old mustang i used a 5psipressure switch on the charge pipe that opend a cold start injector on the intake pipe on my turbo, it was a very crude setup and not very good for the turbine but worked for 9 months with no problems.

There's nothing wrong with using the FMU. They ran superchargers for years with this setup before being able totune with larger injectors. It's a little more crude but it works. As your budget allows, buy the larger injectors and supported pieces and get a good tune. The instructions that come with the superchargers are usually written around the use of the FMU.

Yeah thats what i was figuring. I already have the injectors and a drawthrough maf, but i want to swich to a blowthrough setup and then i need to get the tune done, just wont be in my money range for a few months.

I ran one on mine for the first three years. It worked, "ok" but the set up I run now is much much better. What boost are you gonna be running?

Hmmmm, good luck w/ that. You may get lucky. Mine never ran that well w/ the stock 19's and the fmu. What do you have for ignition system?
