backfire through carb new heads

RE: backfire through carb
still could be the head gasket if it is blow into a water jacket. to do a full proper test, uncap the radiator, uncap the oil, make sure said piston is on compression stroke and then pressurize through the spark plug hole. if the coolant boubles its the head gasket usually, is usually burnt rings, air through the carb would be the intake valve and air in the exhaust would be exhaust valve. its pretty simple. you could try a wet compression test and squirt some oil in that cylinder and then do a compression test. if it fixes it you have bad comp rings.
and there is lesson 1 in engine diagnosis lol

i probably wont get anything. as for the accelerator pump can it go bad? i know you can blow a power valve by it backfiring through the carb when its cold but i dont think it has a power valve? the accelerator pump doesnt seem to be constant to what it pumps out.

new heads same backfire. my bottom looked fine after putting the new heads on did a compression test and was 130 across the board. whats the dealio? timing seems good and is right with a timing light. checked sparkplug gap. checked firing order. looked for vacuum leaks and shorts. noNE!
