Blowing flames between gears

RE: Blowing flames between gears
Flames=Gas=Running rich. You can not have flames with running lean, there has to be something to burn to make fire. If i were you, i would put a fuel regulator and cat back on there before you burn a valve. Just my opinion, i'm surprized that other members havent chimed in. Dude, i think that if you had this cat back, adjusted the fuel to the correct psi and got the timing set, you would be running some better times. These cars are capeable of better timesthan that at their stock form with 3.73s.

btw, did you delete your egr junk when you removed your cats? Its a good idea, they make a cheap block off plate for the egr valve, its cheap, or you can make your own with a scrap piece of aluminum. You also have to block off the hole in the back of the heads...it is threaded, the size is 11/16 coarse if i remember correctly, could b wrong, its been a while since i did mine. Just tryin to help out, look for some write ups on google

You think with mufflers, set timing, and adj fuel pressure it'd drop down to low 14s? In stock form I could only get 15.7 from it, so 14.9 with the timing off is still a decent drop in time.
