where do i start?

i would like to swap out my aod transmission on a 1992 lx 5.0 with a five speed manual. how dificult is it and what would be the cost ?

I'd go with a stall converter and a nice set of heads and a cam. might save some money AND have a WAY faster car.

problem is i just bought the car and the seller says that the od doesnt engage.. any suggestions
