you need to clean all the oil off and watch and wait for it to leak and trace it to the source....however my guess is it's the lower intake gasket that's leaking at the corners of the front end seals on the lower intake

just did that, looks like its coming from the gasket, thereis no oil flowing down from the intake. it has a paper style gasket on it. i thought it was the dist o-ring but i just changed that. anyone think it could be the gasket?

Sounds like thats what it is, if your sure its not the front of the intake because that was my first thought.

I guess oil can puddle up on that cover through the gasket, but coolant is more likely if that gasket is bad. It took me about 9 hrs to change that gasket... [:@]

If you have to remove the timing cover to change that gasket you may want to do a cam swap you'll be half way there.....if yours is stock!

Hey man listen up if it is the gasket no problem but your still gonna have to replace all the gaskets for the timing chain cover. Get the gasket set from Autozone, Oreilly or wherever. You might want to get a new timing chain and spockets while your at it. That said you could change the cam but if your still using the stock heads just wait .

the problem is in the oring for the dist i just replaced. im going to put another one in. thought it might be the gasket from the timing cover but that doesnt leak at all, i cleaned it big time and the oil is cover over the dist seat. so i know that is it for sure.
the car has e303 cam, edlebrock timing chain and gears, trickflow upper, lower, heads. so i dont have to worry about that.
thanks for the info though.
