FEUL INJECTIONS

I HAVE A 92 5.0 I INSTALLED A PAXTON SN 93 SUPERCHARGER AROUND 9 PSI. UPGRADED THE IGNITION EXHAUST ETC. CAR RUNS GREAT. JUST PUT IN A NEW PRO M 77MM MAF AND NEW 36LB INJECTORS AND STILL HAVE THE STOCK FUEL PUMP ( TO BE SWITCHED NEXT WEEK) NOW WITH THE NEW INJECTORS AND MAF WHICH IS CALIBRATED TO THE NEW INJECTORS, THE CAR WILL NOT IDLE, IT IS HARD TO START WHEN WARM AND AS SOON AS IT DROPS UNDER 700 RPM IT WANTS TO DIE. ABOVE 700 RPM ALL IS WELL, THOUGH I HAVE NOT YET GONE HARD ON THE THROTLE. I AM GUESSING I NEED SOME COMPUTER WORK TO SORT OUT THE BUGS. I HAVEN'T HAD THE CAR TUNED YET SINCE I INSTALLED ALL MY PERFORMANCE UPGRADES. RUNS FINE WHEN COLD, AS IT GETS TO OPERATING TEMP ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON PERIODICALLY AND IT STARTS TO IDLE ROUGH UNLESS THE RPM IS BROUGHT UP OVER 700. ANY SUGESTIONS?

those injectors are way to big for that setup btw post this in the 5.0 section

WHATS THE DIFF? ECU CAN ACCEPT UP TO 36LBS SO WHY NOT MAX IT OUT FOR ZERO RESTICTION ON FUTURE UPGRADES?

1. why did you post in here?

2. why did you put huge injectors on the car like that? Fuel lines are consistent, all you're doing is flooding your engine. Wait for your modifications and then install them.

3. STOP TYPING WITH CAPS ON

Actually I would say that with 9lbs of boost on a 5.0 that 36# injectors are fine. Is the new MAF tuned to the injectors? You may want to get it checked. I would also assume that stock fuel pump is definetly holding you back. Get it switched and see what happens.

first I wouldn't start it again til you got a 190 intank pump and a 75 lph inline....also a fuel pressure regulator is badly needed..this is part of the idle problem....what size throttle body?intake?heads? exhaust? as you sure it's a pull thur or blow thur maf? did you clear the computer after the install

I think the 36# injectors are the right size. The fuel pump will need to be changed, for basically the same money consider the 225l/hr.
Get it tuned! SC with 9# and no tune is asking for disaster.

RE: FEUL INJECTIONS

The MAF is supposed to be calibrated for these injectors. It could be the problem however I expect it to be the computer needs some programming. I have a 255lph on its way so I will wait and see, DL. Thanks for the reply!

I have a 255lph in tank on its way. The SC came with and FMU, is that not enough of a fuel regulator? Stock throttle body, intake, heads. Equal length shorty headers and 2.5" X pipe with muffs. The MAF is a pull through as the SC sucks air from it. I did not clear the computer after the install. Would I just unplug my battery for the night to do this? Thanks for the reply!

First off the injectors are just fine, they are actually they size that would work the best with your set up.... I have no clue why some said they were to large, I guess they looked over the fact you have a Paxton cranking out 9PSI... Anyways, I think you are in desperate need of the fuel pump, an Adjustable fuel pressure regulator, and a good dyno tune. After that you oughta be fine. Might wanna upgrade that TB somtime though.
