Question on ECU
I was looking in the ford manual and could not find any info on the ECU (computer). Does ford call it something other then an ECU? Is it located on passenger's side behind the radiator support bars? I have a ford part labeled "F48F-12B577-AA". This part is marked with an R on it. I believe this is the ECU. If not what part is it and where is the ECU located?
Thank You,
Dane

RE: Question on ECU
Back in the day, Ford called it te ECA (Electronic Control Assembly), nowadays, it's called the PCM across the industry.
