Default EGR question for a 95 GT

I have a 95 GT that I converted from Carb back to Fuel Injection. My question is the car has headders that dont have the EGR pipe hole. I read somewhere that I can block off the EGR pipe with a penny once the pipe is removed to block off the pipe. Has anyone else done this? Do I need to plug the vacuum line or unplug the connector? will this be OK or do I need to remove it all together and put in a block off plate?

If emissions testing is not a problem, you can delete/remove it...... install a plate on the EGR valve ports, and buy or make the resistors triangle simulator to connect it to the sensor harness, which will cause a code 33 to be logged, allow the EEC to delete the EGR function, and not trigger the CEL.
