5 Lug conversion Rear brake questions

I am thinking about putting superior axles in the rear with the five lugs, but my questiong is how many spline would a stock 5.0 rear end be. My next question is could i keep my whole stock drum brake setup and if so what kinda drum do i get to fit the 5 lugs. thanks guys

get drums from a ranger they are five lug. your rear end is 28 spline.

you can also use the axles from the ranger i thimk they have to both come from the driver side this will save you money

5 lug axles are not any stronger than 4 lugs if they both have the same spline count which is 28 on a stock 8.8 Ford rear. If you want a stronger axle, you need to go to 31 or 33 splines. You can get 31 spline, 4 lug axles from Ford Racing Performance Parts or Summit Racing.
