ya if i remember right he bought some sort of filter that was shorter than the filter it came with and mounted it straight to the blower..making it still take in air from the engine compartment, but not directly over the header...plus with the intercooler it comes with it would help, but if i was buyin centrifugal i would probably buy a vortech...price for there entire kit is very reasonable...ive found the entire kit for 2800...that would still leave 400 for tune if u install it urself, or 400 for tune/installation n u would go over ur budget by a little depending on how much the tune costs...they dont look (too) involved to install

Yeah I installed my procharger myself, it wasnt too bad, I would assume the vortech would be pretty similar

I shun ProChargers because of the reliablity issues that I have seen with them. I have some friends that I hang with that have ProChargers but they have had nothing but problems with them. One had it repaired twice a little less than 2 years. We thought that maybe the installer did something wrong but did another started having problems with his. I have Vortech it ran great but then I started having problems with my DSS 306.....I will never buy from them again. I have read where people are making good power with Pro's and so did people that I hung with but they had some problems. Almost every motor that MMFF installs in a car is a DSS and runs great, I will never buy from them again.

add another unhappy customer to the DSS group ..sorry to hear it man..but ya vortech has a good kit..an down the road if u want u can put an intercooler on it...and the meth helps too and ya if ur lookin to install urself then that money left over goes towards a good tune n ur golden good luck

they say the kit includes everything for installation...they dont give u new injectors...they give u a fuel managment unit and a t-rex boost a pump...if u goto the vortech website n look up the 94-5 50 supercharger it lists everything included and they have the directions online if youwant to go over then too

Ok thanks i will look it over, so do you think it would be worth it to get a set of #24 injectors to go with the kit or i wouldent need it, i was just wundering if anyone else had the kit with the stock injectors and how it works for them.

LOL just looked at the install papers and it scared me a little, so how much do you think it would cost to have installed?
