Think i'm very lean!!!!

RE: Think i'm very lean!!!!
why does everyone keep saying stuff that would cause a dead miss.. like putting wires on wrong.. or no fuel to one cyl. he said it idles/ runs fine in the lower rpms. anyways. i would try to run some higher octane fuel in it and see if it goes away. is it spark knocking?

RE: Think i'm very lean!!!!
I know you mentioned "no codes"..... is it no codes, or code 11 (System Pass)? ..... run the KOER and Cylinder Balance tests (Cyl. balance twice in a row)... if the system is running lean, codes 41 and 91 should show up as KOER codes.

It shows codes for secondary air supply not functioning and egr not functioning properly, abd from what i have heard shouldn't affect me much. Cylinder balance test showes code 9 every time. It never showes lean codes though?

I don't know about the cam being perfect because i did not put it in the car, the previous owner did.

I have never thought about head gaskets being bad, but they aren't making any noise like ones i have heard in the past. We noticed a few cylinders did not do good in the leakdown test though.

OK.....
No lean codes, cylinder balance = pass......... it's not the EEC.
You might want to "monitor" fuel pressure "on the go" = a gauge attached with an extension hose and routed in way that you can see it while driving. You could have the pressure OK idling and w/out vacuum...... but pressure could be falling trying to maintain the injectors volume under WOT....... BTW, what injectors are you using?

RE: Think i'm very lean!!!!
Everything about the fuel system is still stock. I have tested the pressure under WOT. It looks like it is maintaining good pressure, it stays around 40-41 psi at wot. Whatever my problem is, it shows itself more when the car gets warm. Are there any other electrical components that would lean it out in open loop?
